Leadership Starts Here
Leadership is at the heart of the SkillsUSA experience. Whether students are serving their local chapter, representing their college as voting delegates, leading as state officers, or pursuing national office, SkillsUSA provides real opportunities to develop communication, teamwork, professionalism, advocacy, and career-ready leadership skills.
Chapter Leadership
Chapter leadership is where many students first learn to lead. Chapter officers help organize meetings, support recruitment, plan service projects, represent their programs, and build a stronger local SkillsUSA chapter.
State Delegates
State delegates represent their college during official SkillsUSA Tennessee College/Postsecondary business. Delegates help elect state officers, consider organizational business, and serve as the student voice for their institution.
State Officers
The Tennessee College/Postsecondary State Officer Team represents members across the state. Officers receive advanced leadership training, facilitate events, advocate for Career and Technical Education, support conferences, and serve as ambassadors for SkillsUSA Tennessee.
National Officer Candidate
Tennessee may nominate a national officer candidate to represent the state at the national level. National officer candidates demonstrate advanced leadership, communication, professionalism, and commitment to serving SkillsUSA members across the country.
Alumni & Professional Leadership
Leadership does not end at graduation. Alumni and professional members continue supporting SkillsUSA through mentoring, judging, volunteering, serving on committees, and helping develop the next generation of skilled professionals.
