SkillsUSA members may have access to scholarships, conference assistance, emergency support, and other financial resources offered through SkillsUSA national partners. SkillsUSA Tennessee College/Postsecondary also hopes to establish a state-level scholarship opportunity in the future.

Opportunities Created for SkillsUSA Members
One benefit of SkillsUSA membership is access to scholarship opportunities offered specifically to SkillsUSA members. Some awards support education costs, while others help students attend national leadership experiences such as the National Leadership & Skills Conference or the Washington Leadership Training Institute.
Scholarship and grant opportunities may be added throughout the year. Students and advisors should check the national Scholarships and Grants page regularly for new opportunities, updated eligibility requirements, application links, and deadlines.

Conference Assistance
Event Scholarships
Some national scholarships help qualified members participate in SkillsUSA leadership events when chapter, institutional, family, or community resources are limited.
These awards may require a student resume, information about school and community involvement, written responses or essays, and submission through a state director or advisor. Students should begin preparing well before the published deadline.

Robert L. Flint Student Leadership Development Scholarship
The Robert L. Flint Student Leadership Development Scholarship supports top students who lack sufficient chapter, school, or community resources to attend the Washington Leadership Training Institute.
Support WLTI Participation
The scholarship helps selected students participate in national leadership development and advocacy experiences in Washington, D.C.

Selection may consider the student’s resume, school involvement, community or family involvement, and a written essay.
Work Through Tennessee
The national page states that the State Director submits the application on behalf of the student. Students should coordinate with their advisor and Tennessee College/Postsecondary staff.
Emergency and Crisis Support
SkillsUSA Hope Fund
The SkillsUSA Hope Fund provides support to current, active SkillsUSA members facing financial or personal crisis and may also assist chapters and state associations affected by natural disasters.
Applications are considered based on demonstrated need and available funding. The national page states that awards typically range from $500 to $2,500.

Current, active SkillsUSA student members and eligible chapters or state associations may receive assistance based on the circumstances and available funding.
Who Submits the Request?
A State Director or advisor submits the request on behalf of the active student member. Alumni and professional members are not eligible for student Hope Fund assistance.
What Should Students Do?
Students seeking support should contact their local advisor, officer coach, or Tennessee College/Postsecondary State Director rather than attempting to submit independently.

State College/Postsecondary Scholarship Under Development
SkillsUSA Tennessee College/Postsecondary hopes to establish a state-level scholarship opportunity for members. The scholarship has not yet been launched, and no application, award amount, eligibility criteria, or deadline is currently available.
When a state scholarship is developed and approved, official information will be posted on this page and communicated through Tennessee College/Postsecondary newsletters, advisor calls, conference materials, and other official channels.
