The SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference brings together state champions, delegates, officers, advisors, industry partners, volunteers, and leaders from across the country for competition, leadership, recognition, professional development, and workforce engagement.

About NLSC

Tennessee Leadership and Competition at the National Level

SkillsUSA Tennessee College/Postsecondary members represent the state through competition, delegate service, leadership, advocacy, professional development, and national recognition.

More than 17,000 students, educators, industry representatives, and volunteers are expected to participate in the weeklong conference.

What Happens at NLSC?

A Full Week of National Opportunity

NLSC includes leadership development, national competitions, delegate sessions, professional development, industry engagement, recognition, service, and networking.

Tennessee members participate as competitors, delegates, officers, advisors, volunteers, and representatives of the state association.

Before the official opening, participants may also take part in Leverage, credentialing opportunities, TECHSPO, SkillsUSA learning sessions, and immersive workforce experiences.

Your Week at a Glance

Monday

Tennessee C/PS Kickoff

Mandatory Tennessee delegation meeting, welcome session, conference preparation, and registration pickup.

Tuesday

Orientation & Opening Ceremony

Competitor orientation in official dress with required tools, followed by the national Opening Ceremony.

Wednesday & Thursday

SkillsUSA Championships

National competitors demonstrate technical, workplace, and leadership skills.

Friday

Debriefs, Service & Awards

Contest debriefs, service activities, Grand Awards, and the Tennessee C/PS Banquet and Awards Celebration.

SkillsUSA Championships

National Competition at the Highest Level

More than 7,500 state champions compete in over 100 trade, technical, occupationally related, and leadership fields.

Contests are developed and judged with support from industry, trade associations, and labor organizations, with competencies aligned to current workforce standards.

Delegate Program

Conducting the Business of SkillsUSA

National delegate sessions allow members to conduct official organizational business, elect national student leaders, and serve as voting representatives for their state associations.

Thursday's Champions Festival gives attendees a chance to celebrate, connect, and experience the national SkillsUSA community beyond the competition floor.

Awards & Tennessee Celebration

Recognizing National Achievement

The conference concludes with the national Awards Ceremony, where national medalists are recognized.

Immediately after Grand Awards, SkillsUSA Tennessee College/Postsecondary hosts the Tennessee C/PS Banquet and Awards Celebration to honor the delegation and celebrate statewide achievement.

Scores require the competitor number and registered birth date.
Travel details must be submitted through the Tennessee manifest form.
