  • On Monday, June 24th, we will have our official Delegate Meeting and Welcome Session and registration pickup at 6:30, Which is mandatory. Registration & Welcome Session: Grand Ballroom D1 & D2

  • Tuesday, June 25th is mandatory orientation in official dress with tools and also Opening Ceremonies. State Farm Arena

  • Wednesday, June 26th, and Thursday, June 27th, are Championships, with Wednesday being the Championship Fair at the Park

  • We will have our Tennessee State of the State Banquet immediately following the Grand Awards on Friday, June 28th Celebration Session: Grand Ballroom D1 & D2

  • Note Friday also included mandatory debriefings for contestants

  • Day passes will be sold on the National's website. These open May 21st

  • Volunteer to help at Nationals

  • Travel Manifest Form for travel type and arrival. This will allow the hotel to plan for you. Also, advisors can drop off students at headquarters in the North Tower while they register in the South Tower

 

SkillsUSA heads to Atlanta, Ga., June 24-28, 2024, for the annual National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC), a showcase of career and technical education students. More than 16,000 people — including students, teachers and business partners — are expected to participate in the weeklong event.

Before the conference technically begins, experiences for students and advisors including Leverage, SkillsUSA Academy much more. Intense and rewarding, these three events cover individual, group and interactive leadership training.

On Tuesday, the Opening Ceremony is the first official conference event.

Delegate sessions for middle-school, high-school and college/postsecondary students are conducted by the national officers. The sessions provide a platform to conduct the organization’s official business, elect student leaders and recognize state association voting delegates.

SkillsUSA TECHSPO is located on the competition floor. Look for products available to purchase from SkillsUSA’s sponsors and vendors in both indoor and outdoor exhibits.

The SkillsUSA Championships will be held on Wednesday and Thursday. More than 7,500 outstanding career and technical education students –– all state contest winners –– will compete hands-on in 107 different trade, technical and leadership fields. Students work against the clock and each other, proving their expertise in occupations such as electronics, computer-aided drafting, precision machining, medical assisting and culinary arts. Contests are run with the help of industry, trade associations and labor organizations, and test competencies are set by industry. Leadership contestants will demonstrate skills including extemporaneous speaking and conducting meetings by parliamentary procedure. The competitions will be open to the public and free of charge.

The week caps off with the Awards Ceremony, which takes place on Friday evening.
